The Gallery at Mussel Inn, Glasgow is hosting a brand new art exhibition during the summer featuring two very different Scottish artists; Janet McCrorie and Val Macadam.

Former Arts and Crafts teacher Janet McCrorie studied at The Open College of the Arts and Leith School of Art. Her main theme is Scottish dancers and she uses mixed media and vibrant colours that captures the unique look of tartan and the exuberant movement of the dancing.

Humour is the main thread running through Val Macadam drawings. From stylised towns and villages to whimsical observations of the local countryside Val puts her own particular slant on buildings, features, flora, fauna and wildlife to create quirky images full of energy, detail and amusement that raises a smile! You can get more information and see examples of Val’s art at her website Val Macadam Art.

The exhibition runs throughout summer 2013.
