Charles Jamieson : Aug 5 – October 6

Exhibiting this month is Scottish artist Charles Jamieson. A graduate of Glasgow School of Art, Charles is known for paintings of his travels which take him across the world. His usual haunts are the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and the United States.

This exhibition includes some sketch book work as well as paintings and will give an insight into the workings of this much exhibited painter.

Being Past President of the Paisley Art Institute and Judging Chair of The Aspect Prize, one of Scotland’s foremost art prizes, means that Charles is always busy and involved in the wider world of the visual arts. His own work is in collections in many countries as well as here at home. Those who purchase his work include The Kuwaiti Royal Family, John Le Carré, Harry Enfield, The Royal Bank of Scotland and The Prudential.
