We recently highlighted the mussel shortage at our restaurants due to the recent heatwave having caused algae bloom in the waters where our mussels are cultivated.

Further to this, the most recent tests suggest that the mussels are still not to the very high quality that we and our customers demand.

Therefore, we have decided to limit the mussel dishes on the menu at both our Glasgow and Edinburgh restaurants during the weekend of Sat 10 – Sun 11 August and possibly during the week commencing 12 August.

Some Mussel Dishes Still Available

As a result we will not be able to provide any kilo and half kilo pots of mussels from either our main menu, Lunchtime Quickie menu or Pre-Theatre menu. However, we do have some mussels set aside for a few dishes: seafood platter, shellfish pasta and mussel platters and we are still offering our full extensive menu of delicious seafood dishes and non-seafood alternatives.

We apologise to all our customers for any inconvenience that this may cause and as soon as we have any further news we’ll let you know.
